Negev - is a desert in Israel, beautiful place.
You should be aware of camels crossing the road though :)
*These guys on the both sides of the road - are not wild free camels, but are domesticated by Bedouins.

**I'm interested what do you think of composition?

Cool! I see you've stopped there, to refuel your camels?

Hidden behind a waterfall's mirror,
Are doors to a realm fairytales can't describe;
Of simple life, magic, peace, wisdom and heroes...
You're not getting there. Toss your soul as a bribe.

wow, it's been a while since you've submitted anything here. welcome back i think. have you not been inspired to shoot?

i think there's a lot of good things in this photo;

-the horizon is high. people have a tendency to put it right in the middle which is normally not interesting.
-the lines of the road guide you across the photo and deep into the background.
-it's very clear shot, all the way through and its exposed very nicely.
-the yellow line divides and disappears into the horizon.

the only thing i would say critically is; the subject seems to be undetermined. is it the camels or the mountains or the road?

hi, :wave:
actually I made some shots and I have hundreds of older shots to choose from to upload here, but I think I was just uninspired to do so... I also haven't change my journal and should have been...

anyhow back to the shot itself - thank you for the critique and you are right about the subject - it is undetermined! I made some 10+ pictures of the camels in same location - where the camels are clearly the subject, but the composition got too obvious for my taste... Maybe I'll post another shot from the session, and ask guys what they like better :)

cool cool :)

i think you should put up what YOU like better :D

The composition is dynamic as a whole because of the rode, but it is also static because of the lack of true motion. Which creates really interesting contrast; it is unique, captures the eye and curiosity - makes you want to see each detail and look at the whole picture at the same time.

I think, as for composition, it is one of your best, if not the best shots.
As you had to think well before you took the picture, and at the time did it fast enough to capture the both camels at similar poses.

Well done. I like. ;)

I think that the subject of this shot, is the whole view, just as it is.

Like you mentioned before: the horizon and mountains, the road with the guiding lines, the camels, and the fact that there is nothing more than that.

This is brilliant, as to my point of view.
